Dan Evans has claimed Carlos Alcaraz has \u201ctoo many shots\u201d and the Spaniard sometimes helps his opponent by choosing the wrong option.<\/p>\n
The British No.2 admitted he enjoyed pitting his wits with the world No.1 during an entertaining third round defeat at the US Open.<\/p>\n

Asked the Wimbledon champion\u2019s biggest strength, No.26 seed Evans said: \u201cFor me, it’s how heavy he hits the ball. Quite a lot of people hit the ball quite heavy compared to me to my backhand, but it feels heavy. I think it’s very difficult to get the ball by him.<\/p>\n
And his variation. I definitely didn’t know what was coming next and that sort of sets you on the backfoot and, and is difficult to anticipate.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe obviously backs you up and then can play the drop shot, can hit it through you, can come in. If anything, he probably plays too many shots. He would let me out of jail a few times playing the wrong shot, which was good for me but once he’s on a different day, if he’s putting it all together, it is difficult to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n
