What Salah was doing at corners may explain Liverpool fans’ frustrations

Mohamed Salah put in a terrific performance and found the back of the net as Liverpool brushed aside Cardiff 4-1 on Saturday.

The Egyptian, who had been going through something of a goal drought, has now scored four goals in his past three games.

But despite his positive display at Anfield, there were some questions raised over his corner taking abilities.

One fan tweeted during the clash: "Salah’s delivery from corners are sickeningly bad at times"

Another posted: "Salah’s corners are horrific."

With a different supporter stating: "Salah’s corners have been s****."

But not all was as it seemed. It turns out Salah’s corners weren’t bad, he was actually trying to shoot at goal.

Some may view Salah’s tactics as a waste, but it’s worth remembering the forward did score from a corner for Egypt earlier this month.

But any frustrations Liverpool fans may have had were immediately forgotten as Salah opened the scoring at Anfield.

Strike partner Sadio Mane then doubled Liverpool’s lead before Cardiff gave the hosts a slight scare through Callum Paterson.

Salah then turned provider, first setting up Shaqiri’s goal before assisting Mane for the forward’s second.
