Asked on Monday if they are still supporting Moyes in spite of the growing unrest from fans, one senior source replied: ‘One hundred per cent.’
Prior to the 5-0 loss at Fulham, West Ham were unbeaten in their previous four games, including their come-from-behind 2-1 victory at Tottenham.
Moyes survived multiple calls for his head last season, securing wins whenever he faced the sack. West Ham beat Everton 2-0, Nottingham Forest 4-0 and Southampton 1-0 – all matches which were described as ‘must-wins’.
The Europa Conference League triumph over Fiorentina in June ensured Moyes went into the final season of his contract, though there was no offer of an extension.
West Ham are prepared to wait until the end of the season before making a decision on their managerial situation.
