La Liga have agreed a deal have agreed a one-year shirt sponsorship deal with Welsh fifth-tier side with one of the longest names in football.
Llanfairpwll, whose full name is Clwb Pel Droed Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, will see their kit sponsored by La Liga.
However, luckily for this reporter, they commonly go by the shortened version Llanfairpwll.
La Liga will see their logo displayed on the front of the Welsh club’s shirts this season for their campaign in Division One of the North Wales Coast West League.
They will debut the new sponsor this Saturday as they take on Holyhead Town in Wales.

Llanfairpwll manager, Gwyndaf Hughes, praised the sponsorship as he said: ‘This new partnership with La Liga brings further professionalism to our side, and I know the lads can’t wait to wear the new kit with pride from this Saturday and throughout the season.
‘We’ve got a great group here who are really committed to bringing success to the club.’
This was added to with support from chairwoman Samantha Jones-Smith, who labelled the sponsorship as the most exciting in the history of the side.
‘Not only is it the most exciting collaboration the club has ever had, but it also allows us to improve both on and off the field,’ she said.
‘Securing a front of shirt partner of this level is of vital importance, and with La Liga’s long-standing history of footballing excellence, we have a fantastic partner to join us on our journey.’
While Llanfairpwll are no Wrexham, they will be hoping for success of their own this season as they sport the La Liga logo on their shirts this season.
Who knows, it may even inspire their players to bring out performances that the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Vinicius Jr would be proud of.
