Tottenham have been provided with a significant transfer boost as it has emerged that Juventus are considering parting ways with Samuel Iling-Junior in January. Spurs are keen to splash the cash in the winter transfer window to bolster their forward ranks, with Ange Postecoglou’s list of absentees continuing to grow and cause his team selection issues.
The ex-Celtic manager has breathed a new lease of life into the Tottenham squad, forcing the team out of their comfort zone to become an attacking, dominant side. Postecoglou has reaped the rewards of the bold changes he has made, with his side sitting in fourth place in the Premier League after winning eight of their opening 12 matches.
However, injuries are threatening what looks like it could be a significant season for Spurs. James Maddison, Richarlison and Micky van de Ven are all currently sidelined, and their absences has highlighted that Tottenham are in desperate need of squad depth.
Several defenders, such as Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Bournemouth star Lloyd Kelly, have been identified as potential targets, and the attention in north London has turned to offensive reinforcements.

Juve winger Iling-Junior is among those to have been linked with joining Tottenham to provide cover across their frontline, and the 20-year-old could be a viable option. According to Bianconera News, the Old Lady are ‘heavily considering’ selling the Englishman and offering him the chance to thrive elsewhere.
Iling-Junior has played 113 minutes of Serie A football so far this season, being introduced as a substitute by manager Massimiliano Allegri on just four occasions. As a result, Juventus are aware that the forward’s limited minutes is holding him back and they are weighing up whether a sale could be the best step forward for all parties.

The January transfer window is said to be an ‘opportunity’ for Iling-Junior to find himself a new club and truly put himself in the shop window to entice a transfer, with Spurs then cited as a possible destination. Tottenham’s revival under Postecoglou is said to be viewed as an ‘ambitious project’, with young players around Europe admiring the direction that the club is heading in.
Iling-Junior‘s contract expires in 2025 and therefore Juventus are keen to make a decision on the ex-Chelsea academy star in the January transfer window as his transfer value will plummet in the summer when the versatile forward enters the final 12 months of his deal with the Serie A outfit.
