Liverpool returned to winning ways on Sunday afternoon, dispatching Brentford 3-0 at Anfield to keep up with their Premier League title rivals.
Last weekend, the Reds drew 1-1 to Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, while just days later, they tasted defeat in the Europa League after losing to Toulouse 3-2. However, against Brentford, they put their last two performances behind them, with a Mo Salah brace and a late Diogo Jota strike helping Jurgen Klopp's side to three points at Anfield.
The result means Liverpool now sit joint with Arsenal and Manchester City on 27 points at the top of the Premier League table, albeit, with Pep Guardiola's side still having to play against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

And with that in mind, Daily Star Sport took a look at three things Jurgen Klopp got right as the Reds kept pace with their Premier League title rivals.
Right now, Liverpool have a number of injuries they're dealing with. Prior to the clash against Brentford, Klopp revealed that defenders Ibrahima Konaté and Joe Gomez were out, with Thiago, Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones and Stefan Bajcetic already sidelined too.
To make things even worse, Alexis Mac Allister also missed the game due to suspension too. That then meant Liverpool had to field a midfield three of Wataru Endo, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai, who all played in midweek against Toulouse.

While there were a couple of moments where Liverpool looked to have been caught out on the break by the pacy Brian Mbeumo, they managed to keep Brentford out.
Look, at this point, you know what you're going to get with Darwin Nunez. Which is to say, you don't know. The Uruguayan forward found the back of the net twice against Brentford, albeit with him being marginally offside on both occasions.
Things just did not look like they were going for Nunez in the first half, but he did turn provider on 39 minutes for Salah, sending the Egyptian through on goal for the simplest of finishes against that got Liverpool off the mark against the Bees.

With Liverpool depleted by injuries, winning before the international break to keep pace with Arsenal and Manchester City could have been a tough task.
But the reality is, Klopp and Liverpool managed the game perfectly. They looked comfortable for the majority of the contest, and could have be further ahead if Nunez was onside.
And it was doubly important for Liverpool to win to keep pace with City particularly, especially with the two set to face off next week at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.
