With the January transfer window fast approaching, Manchester United officials have a few difficult decisions to make over which players they allow to leave the club.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was expected to oversee a squad exodus during the summer window, but only a handful of players departed.
Chris Smalling, Alexis Sanchez and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson were the only players who were sold for a fee, with a couple of others heading out on loan.
In the January window, however, things could be different, with numerous players apparently on the chopping block.
United have been tipped to sell players in order to raise money for another spending spree in the summer transfer window.
Who should stay and who should go? Daily Star Sport has every United player lined up for a game of 'Keep or Sell?'
David de Gea : No chance of De Gea leaving during the January transfer window, and rightly so. United need two world-class goalkeepers and even if Dean Henderson becomes the club’s first-choice, De Gea needs to stay. KEEP
Dean Henderson : Keep at all costs. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Henderson is unhappy with his game time, but he needs to be kept at the club. KEEP
Lee Grant : Doesn’t offer an awful lot, especially with Sergio Romero in tow. His contract expires in the summer so he won’t be sold. KEEP
Sergio Romero : Unfortunately it seems Romero’s time is up at Old Trafford. A move to America is most likely. SELL
Saha slams Pogba communication as a "joke" as he makes prediction on Man Utd future
Victor Lindelof : Hasn’t been good enough so far this season. Finding a replacement will be necessary if United are to get rid, but they should part ways if the right offer comes in. SELL
Eric Bailly : Still has a lot to give, despite his injury issues. Has 18 months to run on his contract. SELL
Phil Jones : It seems Jones’ time at Old Trafford is up, and United need to get his £75,000-per-week wages. SELL
Harry Maguire : United aren’t going to get two new centre-backs in January, so they need to keep either Maguire or Lindelof. Still, if they can get the right offer for him then they should get rid. SELL
Marcos Rojo : Rojo isn’t likely to play for United again, they could do well by getting a fee in January. SELL
Luke Shaw : Shaw is a surprise option for United’s most valuable player at the moment. Needed despite the arrival of Alex Telles. KEEP
Tim Fosu-Mensah : He’s shown promise, but doesn’t seem to have too much chance of getting in the team this season. Still one for the future. LOAN BUT KEEP
Alex Telles : He’s only just arrived at the club and already he’s looked impressive. KEEP
Aaron Wan-Bissaka : Keep at all costs. United don’t have another right-back and he’s got incredible value to the team. KEEP
Brandon Williams : Would be worth keeping around, despite his lack of game time. He’s been pushed down the pecking order after the arrival of Telles, and could shift to right-back before long. KEEP
Axel Tuanezbe : Might be worth getting him some more consistent game time while out on loan. Still has a solid future ahead of him. LOAN BUT KEEP
Paul Pogba : United need to keep Pogba no matter what type of money gets thrown at them in January. Despite the problems with his agent, Pogba can change a game by himself. KEEP
Jesse Lingard : It might be time for Lingard to depart the club, considering his lofty wages and the fact he’s unlikely to get into the team any time soon. SELL
Juan Mata : Unfortunately, Mata doesn’t offer enough for United any more. With the way they play they need pace, something Mata doesn’t have enough of any more. SELL
Fred : Despite his red card shame against Paris Saint-Germain, he still has a valuable position in the side. KEEP
Bruno Fernandes : Probably United’s best player and most potent attacker, there probably isn’t a realistic fee anyone could pay for Fernandes at the moment. KEEP
Daniel James : James is clearly struggling for confidence, and a temporary move away could help him find that with consistent game time. LOAN BUT KEEP
Facundo Pellistri : Seems to be on the verge of the first team after some impressive showings for the under-23 side. KEEP
Nemanja Matic : Matic and Fred have a solid role in the side, rotating with Scott McTominay in the two defensive midfield roles in a 4-2-3-1. KEEP
Donny van de Beek : Even though he’s struggled since joining from Ajax, but he still has a lot to give. KEEP
James Garner : Might be best suited going out on loan to get some regular football, but still has a bright future. LOAN BUT KEEP
Scott McTominay : As mentioned with Matic, he has a valuable role in a rotation in a defensive midfield role. KEEP
Edinson Cavani : Only has six months to go before his contract expires, and already it looks like United should trigger the one-year extension. KEEP
Anthony Martial : If United want to be title contenders, Martial doesn’t have a role in the starting XI. Could be sold to raise funds for another crack at Jadon Sancho in the summer. SELL
Marcus Rashford : Valuable on the left wing or through the middle on occasion. Has said on numerous occasions that he never wants to leave, and why should he? KEEP
Mason Greenwood : A youngster with the world at his feet. Wouldn’t be a surprise to many United fans to see him become the club’s leading striker towards the end of the season. KEEP
