Sir Jim faces fresh delay
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s £1.4bn deal for a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United was expected to be announced this week.
However, United fans may face an even longer wait for the INEOS founder’s arrival based on fresh reports.
According to the Telegraph, there are now no guarantees a deal will be struck before Thursday’s US holiday Thanksgiving.
And some close to the process fear it will be next week until confirmation becomes a possibility.
There will then be a six to eight-week wait for the Premier League to ratify any deal before Sir Jim can get to work.
