Salah scores four goals for Egypt as Liverpool fans say ‘Man City are not ready’

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has started to hit full steam this season, and fans reckon he's ready for Manchester City after netting four over the international break.

Salah captained Egypt as his side took on Djibouti in a World Cup qualification clash. The East African side are ranked 189th in the world, with only three European sides below them: Gibraltar, Liechtenstein and San Marino.

Egypt cut Djibouti to pieces, winning 6-0 with Mostafa Mohamed and ex-Aston Villa star Trézéguet getting in on the act. And some football fans believe Pep Guardiola's side should be concerned.

"I hope Salah can do the same thing with Man City," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter. While a second responded: "Salah has just scored 4 goals in 70 minutes… He's looking scary before this City encounter!"

"They should sub Mo Salah out now, we need that energy against City," a third joked. And another added: "Mo Salah it's enough, keep the rest for Man City!"

Liverpool and City will go head-to-head in a top of the table clash when Premier League football resumes next weekend. Guardiola's side currently lead the pack, despite drawing with Chelsea before their players jetted around the world for the break.

The free-scoring Reds could leap-frog City and claim top spot if they win on Saturday lunchtime, but the champions remain big favourites for the clash at the Etihad on November 25.

Jurgen Klopp's side are unbeaten since September, when they lost to Tottenham Hotspur in controversial circumstances, but they have dropped points against Brighton and Luton Town since that fixture. While, Salah, himself, has bagged 10 goals so far this season.
