Ryanair aimed a sly dig at Jose Mourinho after he was announced as AS Roma's manager for next season.
Just 15 days after losing his job as manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Mourinho has found a different club and will be back in management for the 2021/22 campaign.
The 58-year-old did not enjoy a successful period as manager of Spurs, having failed to win a trophy and lost the trust of first-team players.
A new challenge now awaits the experienced coach, who has previously enjoyed a spell in Italian football with Inter Milan – and Ryanair could not resist a joke at the expense of Mourinho on their official Twitter account.
The budget quote-tweeted a post confirming his announcement and joked: "Jose will be happy to know that we currently fly London to Rome from only £14.99.
"Due to his lack of trophies at Spurs, we expect a carry-on bag will suffice for this trip."
Mourinho will replace current Roma boss Paulo Fonseca at the end of the current season, marking his return to Italy.
He previously coached Inter between the years of 2008 and 2010, most notably claiming two Serie A titles and one Champions League.
His former side have very recently tasted league success, with Inter winning the Scudetto for the first time since Mourinho's last triumph in 2010.
Mourinho will come up against old foe Antonio Conte when taking on Inter next season, having previously clashed with the Italian in the Premier League.
