Rumour Mill: Trio of Premier League giants eye Barca outcast

ONE of Barcelona’s brightest young stars has been told to find a new club and three huge Premier League giants are chomping at the bit to sign him.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are looking desperately for a replacement for Julen Lopetegui and they’ve got their eye on an Argentine mastermind.

All that and more in another edition of Rumour Mill!

Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal will be on red alert after Barcelona reportedly told Ousmane Dembele to find a new club in January.

The 21-year-old is considered one of football’s brightest young talents and would no doubt be a welcome addition for all three Premier League sides.

Maurizio Sarri could be interested in tempting the French World Cup winner to Stamford Bridge to complete a front three at Chelsea with Eden Hazard and international teammate Olivier Giroud.

The winger played alongside Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund and the pair may be keen to rekindle their relationship, meaning a move to the Emirates could be likely.

Liverpool, meanwhile, would offer Dembele Champions League football this season and arguably the strongest chance of winning the Premier League this season with the Reds top of the table.

Real Madrid want Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager by the end of next month.

Spanish player power stopped former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte getting the job after Real finally sacked Julen Lopetegui.

Santiago Solari has been named interim boss but the La Liga giants will target Spurs chief Poch — who admitted he is at his lowest point with the London club.

Representatives from the Bernabeu met with people close to Pochettino in London last week and gave promising reports to chairman Florentino Perez.

The 46-year-old Pochettino reiterated his commitment to Spurs last night but their chairman Daniel Levy must now resist Real’s charms again.

Former Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano has taken aim at Gareth Bale, saying it is a “fantasy” that he is a “superstar”.

Bale, who joined Real for around A$160.5 million in 2013, has struggled for form recently and there has been speculation about his future at the club.

Valdano told Radio Marca: “We continue to measure Bale based on his price.

“His price tag has created a fantasy that he is a world superstar. But the last five years don’t correspond to what Real Madrid paid for him, even if every season he is applauded for scoring the goal of the year.”

Juventus are ready to snap up Manchester City whizz-kid Phil Foden for just $315,000 as his contract runs out at the end of next season, according to reports.

The Old Lady are frontrunners for the signature of the midfield starlet and are ready to pounce if Man City cannot conclude a deal for the 18-year-old.

Foden has played for the Citizens since he was six-years-old but has never cemented a solid run in the first team.

The Mirror have reported that if no deal is concluded Europe’s elite could purchase the youngster for just $315,000 in development costs.

This has put the Italian champions on red-alert, as well as other elite European clubs such as BVB and Paris Saint-Germain.

Tottenham have stepped up their pursuit of Barcelona flop Malcom but have been told they will have to pay MORE than what the Catalan club did to land his signature.

The pacey winger has fallen out of favour with boss Ernesto Valverde and has struggled to break into the first-team of the Catalan giants.

The Brazilian has played just 25 minutes in all competitions for the Spanish champions this season.

His lack of playing time has put Tottenham and Inter Milan on red-alert.

And according to Corriere Dello Sport, the London club are set to make a $90m bid for him.

PSG are weighing up a move for West Ham defender Issa Diop following his impressive start to the season, according to reports.

The French champions are ready to offer up to £50million to land the defender and add to their squad which is already littered with young French talent.

Diop has made a brilliant start to his Hammers career since his £22million move from Toulouse last summer.

His performances for the claret and blue outfit even led to Man United boss Jose Mourinho labelling him a ‘monster’ after West Ham’s victory against his side.

And PSG believe they could face stiff competition for the centre-back from the Red Devils, so they are said to be looking to wrap up a deal quickly.
