American actor and Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney has announced a new development project for the Welsh town as part of a birthday present to Ryan Reynolds.
McElhenney and Reynolds are the celebrity co-owners of Wrexham, helping the club earn promotion back to the Football League last season.
The pair have shown an incredible willingness to spend not only on the squad and management, but also in the wider community too.
They have quickly endeared themselves to many locals, have have struck up a brilliant chemistry off the pitch.
Known for their extraordinary birthday posts for eachother, McElhenney has continued tradition by producing a video announcing a new ‘Parks and Wrex’ project with actor Chris Pratt.

McElhenney and Pratt sat opposite eachother throughout the video and joked about Reynolds

In a post from McElhenney’s own account on X account he said: ‘Happy birthday @VancityReynolds, This year I had to bring in an actual superhero… @prattprattpratt.’
The It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor was joined by Chris Pratt in a video to celebrate Reynolds birthday and announce the development of the soon to be renamed Ryan Rodney Reynolds Memorial Park.
On the park website they describe the park: ‘This community space located in the heart of Wrexham will be a place for the public to gather, grow, and play.
‘Working in close partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council, we’re beautifying the park in the coming months to be a reflection of the spirit of Wrexham and Wales.’
The park will be developed into a green space with local restaurants and even movie nights put on to bring the community together.
A date for the construction to start or the opening of the park are still to be confirmed by management.
