Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a £35million move for Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies when he enters the final year of his deal.

The Canadian’s current contract is set to expire in 2025 and extension talks are said to be stalling with the German giants.

According to Bild, it is ‘no longer a secret’ that Madrid are keen on acquiring the talented left-back.

Nick Huoseh, who is Davies’ agent, spoke openly about the surrounding rumours and what they mean for his player.

‘Real is a big club, I’m a big fan. Real is a big name. When you hear rumors about your protégé, it makes you proud,’ he said.

Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies could be leaving when he nears the end of his contract

‘We still have two years of contract with Bayern. We will wait and see how everything develops in the coming weeks.’

Davies has been a key part of the Bundesliga team since joining from his native Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019.

His performances in claiming five league titles in Germany, and 2020’s Champions League success, have helped fuel this transfer speculation.

And with Jude Bellingham taking La Liga by storm, the German paper also claimed Real want to put together a ‘superteam’ to cement their position in European football.

In June, Davies made the sensational claim that Barcelona’s president rejected a move for him because he’s Canadian.

He said: ‘Barcelona actually reached out but the president said they didn’t want me.

‘They said they didn’t want me because I was Canadian. I’m not gonna lie that kind of crushed my feelings a little bit.’
