Premier League odds and betting tips

Err on the side of caution when Liverpool and Manchester City face off this afternoon.

This hyped-up title-race duel has all the makings of a gruelling disappointment.

A draw of few chances suits both well enough.

City are just 11/10 all round to win at Anfield (4.30pm), where they are W1 D6 L13 in 20.

That lonely victory came in 2003 when they were bossed by a lawless hothead called Kurly Keegan the Armthorpe Klopp. No Twitter or YouTube then of course, so the news was brought to London by canal.

One indisputable fact-shaped opinion about City’s current 13-win run is how few chances sides have managed to create against them. Liverpool have already blanked in five of their last 10 games.

But don’t think Pep Guardiola will be lured into buckling his swash, and swinging down from the minstrels’ gallery with a cutlass between his teeth.

I’ll take the DRAW at 11/4 (Fred). And ‘no goalscorer’ at a juicy 14/1 (Bet365) .

It took a late Harry Kane goal for Tottenham to edge West Brom 1-0 back in November. That definitely won’t be happening today. But the picture’s still murky.

With Baggies draws at the Etihad and Anfield, and Spurs having gone slightly Spursy, bet NO ‘both teams score’ at 10/11 (Fred, 12pm).

Romain Saiss looks a lively ‘anytime scorer’ longshot when Wolves welcome Leicester (2pm) – the Morocco star can rattle the Foxes at set-pieces. He’s worth a spin at 12/1 (Bet365).

If Thomas Tuchel is even half the tactical genius he’s supposed to be, Sheffield United should get battered this evening (7.15pm).

Pound for pound it’s fair to say that the Blades have spent sod-all compared to Chelsea.

But Chris Wilder can mostly count on his lads turning up, which is not something every Chelsea boss gets to say.

United rock John Egan is a case in point. Back him to ‘be shown a card’ at a plump 19/4 (BetVic) – he’s played seven ‘Big Six’ games this season. He’s been booked in four.

Over in Spain, expect goals and cards when Barcelona go to Betis (8pm) – back Jordi Alba to see yellow or red at 13/5 (BetVic).
