Football fans looked back at Noel Gallagher with anger as he chose to watch AC Milan take on Paris Saint-Germain instead of his beloved Manchester City.
The former Oasis frontman is supposedly a die-hard City fan who loves nothing more than revelling in the achievements of Pep Guardiola’s side. He repeatedly spoke about how happy he was when the Citizens won the Treble last season.
City came into their clash against Young Boys with the opportunity to stroll into the Round of 16 with a victory. However, they were not boosted by the presence of Gallagher, as he was at the San Siro to watch the Rossoneri face PSG.

After seeing a picture of Gallagher in Italy, football fans have accused him of being a “plastic” supporter. “Can't even be bothered to go and watch his own team play,” one harsh fan wrote.
“Shouldn’t he be at the Man City game absolute plastic,” a second added. “Does he support one of these teams as well,” one sarcastic fan asked, referring to Gallagher’s love for the Premier League giants.

“Is he dropping the act that he's a big city fan now,” asked another football lover, who is evidently not convinced by Gallagher’s love for City. Gallagher jumped from one television interview to another when City overcame Inter Milan to win the Champions League and complete a historic treble.
In an interview with the Dail y Mail, he said: “Winning the Treble means we are now in a very exclusive room of two teams. We are there with that great, great United team from 1998-99 that we all loved watching, even City fans, until they scored and then we turned it off. There was drama unfolding in front of you with that team.
“Where we come from, Mancunian United fans, they know as well how good this City team is. They're not idiots. City fans will tell you now, that United team in 1999 was amazing. The only thing we hated was the stupid banner they had at Old Trafford that kept ticking over about how many years it was since we'd won a trophy.
“The boot's on the other foot now but that was it. Other than that, who is not going to respect Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and all those lads who came from Manchester. I have had about 30 text messages off United fans I know saying, 'Fair play, well done.”
