Footage has finally emerged of Thomas Partey meeting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for the first time on Arsenal ’s official channels.
£45m signing Partey was filmed arriving at the club’s training ground, and was greeted by club captain Aubameyang and strike partner Lacazette.
The forward pair greeted Partey with big grins and a shout of ‘finally’, before the Ghanian was also given a tour pop the training ground and met new manager Mikel Arteta.
As well as doing various media duties and interviews for the club, Partey also met Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who had some words of advice for the midfielder.
“I can’t touch my guy!” Wright told Partey. ”Be yourself man because I know how busy you are.
“Take it easy. Go do your stuff. Good to see you my friend. It’s Partey time baby!”
Partey revealed his delight at joining Arsenal earlier this week, insisting he couldn’t wait to get out on the pitch with the Aubameyang and his other new team-mates.
“It helps me understand that the club wants to achieve greater things and for me it is great to play alongside great players like him,” he said.
“I think it’s a great challenge, I want to experience new challenges and also in a great family like Arsenal, I am ready to give it my all and try to help this great club come back to where they belong.
“I still have much to develop, I still have more to learn with this new family. I will have to learn more things to achieve all my goals, and achieve the goals of the club as well.”
