A football team turned off the lights to their stadium after losing the league title to their fierce rivals.
Alianza Lima, the 21-time champions of Peru's top flight, were defending their crown as they welcomed Universitario to the Estadio Alejandro Villanueva on Wednesday (November 8) night.
The first leg of their title-deciding play-off had finished 1-1, so it was all to play for. But Universitario raced into an early lead, with forward Edison Flores netting inside three minutes.

And they never surrendered it, ultimately winning 3-1 on aggregate after midfielder Horacio Calcaterra added a second late on. Come the final whistle, hosts Lima reacted to the disappointing defeat in hilariously petty, albeit dangerous, fashion.
The referee hadn't even taken the whistle from his mouth when the ground was plunged into darkness. All the lights were instantly cut, leaving just the advertising hoardings in view for those watching on TV.

It was also claimed that the home supporters set off flares and threw them onto the pitch after the second goal was scored, in a last-ditch attempt to get game the abandoned and stop their rivals from winning.
There wasn't a trophy presentation as a result of Lima's petty stadium antics, which were lapped up by footy fans far and wide. One labelled it: "S***housery at its finest."
