A cynical Newcastle fans has accused Don Goodman of deliberately drawing them away against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.
Before being told off by fellow supporters, the tongue-in-cheek Geordie Mag fan page thought they saw the former Sunderland man looking into the bowl live on Sky Sports – although he turned away while still shuffling them.
The sceptical social media user posted before adding a laughing emoji in the comments section: "What we have here ladies and gents is none other than ex-Sunderland player Don Goodman having a good look for that number 16." Newcastle were ball number 16 and were drawn to head to Old Trafford in the round of 16 as a reward for knocking out Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

Calling for the post to be deleted, a fellow fan said: "Begging the world to be against us. We're better than this."
A second agreed: "Don't be ridiculous. He looked away as he was still mixing them around." A rival fan concluded: "How on earth could he see the numbers on the balls? His arm fills the hole on top of the bowl."

He said post-match: "I think Newcastle couldn’t accept our first half dominance, they increased the rhythm and aggression and kicking, and they were there, more aggressive.
"We struggled a little but that’s normal. I said at half time the second half will not be like the first.
"I don’t know how many fouls they did and how many we did but we had double yellow cards. It is what it is."
