A teenage scoring sensation has blasted an incredible ninth hat-trick in just 52 games.
Egert Õunapuu plays for Tallin-based Nomme United of the Estonian second tier, where he is scoring for fun. He ran amok again on Monday night as TJK Legion were put to the sword 5-0.
Õunapuu took just 14 minutes to get off the mark when he scored from the penalty spot. He netted again three minutes later and then completed another hat-trick on 36 minutes. The 18-year-old wasn’t finished there though as he netted again on 87 minutes to complete the scoring. Ivan Lazarets had added the fourth just before the hour mark.

Õunapuu now has an incredible 62 goals at more than a goal a game. While the Estonian second division is a modest standard, his goalscoring exploits are bound to grab the attention of clubs around Europe.
One fan wondered on X (formerly Twitter): “Amazing record, wonder if he'll stick with Nomme as they are promotion bound or get snapped up by one of the established top-flight teams.” Another boldly declared him the “new Haaland”.

A third hailed: “Egert Ounapuu is one ridiculous talent. Only 18 years old, he has 9 hat-tricks in 52 games. Just today he added 4 more goals to that tally and I can only see him getting better and better.”
Õunapuu has already earned international recognition, playing for Estonia at under-16 through to under-21 level while a senior call-up cannot be far away. Last year, Õunapuu was among the scorers as Estonia’s U19s sprung an upset by beating Italy U19s 2-0 in qualification for the European Championship.
