*United have an option for a further year
Both players’ current contracts expire next summer but United have an option to extend their deals by a further year.
De Gea, widely regarded as one of the standout goalkeepers in world football, is currently on wages of £175,000 per week.
The Spanish shot-stopper now believes that earning £300,000 a week is not unrealistic for him.
Martial, meanwhile, currently earns £70,000 per week with United willing to double his wages, but an agreement hasn’t yet been reached between both parties.
United have a host of other players out of contract next summer, with Juan Mata, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Ander Herrera, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Andreas Pereira all falling into that category.
Of those, United have an option to extend by a further year on Valencia, Darmian and Pereira’s deals.
