Sheffield Utd V Man Utd: Pictures
Manchester United host FC Copenhagen on Tuesday, knowing anything less than a win would leave them on the brink of a humiliating Champions League group-stage exit. Erik ten Hag will name a strong side against the Danish champions at Old Trafford, or as strong as he can amid continued injury woes.
Ten Hag is set to benefit from a couple of welcome returns, but changes from Saturday’s hard-fought 2-1 win at Sheffield United could be limited as he eases stars back into action.
Express Sport runs through what the United team should look like in a must-win clash with Copenhagen.
Goalkeeper – Onana
Andre Onana had a night to forget against Galatasaray last time out in the Champions League, causing Casemiro’s red card with a wayward pass.
But Ten Hag has retained faith in his £47million signing to come good, and he’s coming off one of his best performances for United at the weekend.

Defence – Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof
Diogo Dalot has flourished since replacing Aaron Wan-Bissaka in Ten Hag’s defence due to the latter’s ill-timed injury, netting the winner in the victory at Bramall Lane.
Raphael Varane came on as a substitute after missing the Brentford win. He should be ready to start this time, though Jonny Evans hasn’t put much of a foot wrong since his surprise return.
Ten Hag heaped praise on Harry Maguire after Saturday’s triumph, and rightly so. The former United captain is in fine form and deserves to keep his place.
Sergio Reguilon should return to the squad, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Ten Hag introduce him later to avoid his injury flaring up. Victor Lindelof will be at the front of the line to cover again in an unchanged defence.

Midfield – Amrabat, Mount, Fernandes
Sofyan Amrabat has shown why Ten Hag rallied for his signature late in the summer window since moving into his preferred midfield position.
Casemiro is suspended and would’ve missed out even if he wasn’t currently sidelined with a problem. But United have a suitable alternative in the 27-year-old Moroccan.
Scott McTominay scored another important goal at Sheffield United. However, Mason Mount’s pressing ability will be crucial on a night where the hosts must dominate possession and make their opponents uncomfortable.
The £60m star could be in line to return to the starting lineup, replacing McTominay alongside captain Bruno Fernandes. If United need a late goal or two, McTominay has proven he is capable of making the desired impact.

Attack – Antony, Rashford, Hojlund
Antony made his first start in almost two months against Sheffield United and was withdrawn at the hour mark as he steps up his return after a leave of absence.
Marcus Rashford’s United goal drought extended to eight games at the weekend, but his status as a regular starter isn’t thought to be under threat.
He provided a delightful assist for the first of Rasmus Hojlund’s brace against Galatasaray, and the Dane is also a certain starter against his former club.
All three of Hojlund’s United goals have come in his two Champions League appearances. Ten Hag needs him to deliver again when Copenhagen visit M16.
