Man Utd rival Chelsea for £60m deal, Arsenal star wants Newcastle move

Premier League clubs have just under four weeks before the transfer window opens and they can splash the cash again. The summer saw an unprecedented spending spree and January promises to be another busy month across the English top flight.

Manchester United will likely explore the market to see where they can improve following a disappointing season so far. Chelsea will also aim to build on some of the promise they’ve had under Mauricio Pochettino by continuing to tweak their squad.

Clubs will assess their league position come January and see where they need to strengthen the most. The winter window is notoriously difficult to lure top targets, so loan signings could well be on the agenda for some.

Arsenal star wants Newcastle move

Aaron Ramsdale is reportedly open to joining Newcastle in January.

TalkSPORT claims the Arsenal star is keen on a move to St James’ Park following Nick Pope’s injury.

However, the Gunners would demand up to £50m for Ramsdale.

Newcastle could instead look into the loan or free agent market, with David de Gea said to have offered his services.

Pope is set for months on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder in the win over Manchester United.

Man Utd rival Chelsea for Maignan

Manchester United are set to rival Chelsea for the signing of AC Milan star Mike Maignan.

Foot Mercato claims Erik ten Hag hasn’t been convinced by Andre Onana since his summer arrival and is eyeing a deal for Maignan.

The 28-year-old could cost around £60m, with PSG also interested in his signature.

Chelsea were linked with the Frenchman in the summer and recently lost both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
