Man Utd ace Alex Telles drops hint over future after transfer link

Manchester United ace Alex Telles has dropped a hint over his future amid a tough season.

The left-back was signed on deadline day last year as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scrambled for deals, with Edinson Cavani and Facundo Pellestri also joining.

But it has not been an easy ride for the Brazilian, who has been largely sidelined throughout the season.

The ex-Porto star has played just seven times in the Premier League, amounting to 511 minutes, though he does have two assists to his name.

However, the last time he played in the league was a 2-1 loss to Sheffield United back in January while he was not even in the squad against January.

It has coincided with a run of unbelievable form from Luke Shaw, who has earned a spot back in the England team as a result.

And it has led to talk that Telles could leave in the summer after struggling for a role.

Reports in Portugal revealed that a return to the Primeira Liga was on the cards and a deal was being talked about between United and Sporting Lisbon.

Nuno Mendes has come onto the radar at Old Trafford and a potential swap transfer had been mooted.

But Telles has appeared to rubbish those reports by his latest actions on social media.

Prior to his move to United, the 28-year-old had been at Porto for four years and he has pledged his loyalty to his former side.

Meanwhile, Sporting boss Ruben Amorim insisted there is nothing to worry about considering Mendes' future.

“Nuno Mendes is not ready to leave Sporting this year, nor next year, nor will he be the following year. I think that in five years he can leave Sporting,” he said.
