Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool ended the summer transfer window on a quiet note, as the defending Premier League champions secured their main targets in September.
The arrivals of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota have already boosted the Reds’ early season
performances, with Klopp’s side winning three of their first four Premier League games in
However, despite securing some crucial new faces this summer, Klopp faces a growing concern over his goalkeeping situation, with Alisson sidelined until November and deputy Adrian conceding seven goals against Aston Villa.

Former Premier League star Darren Bent tips Reds for David Raya move
Liverpool should move for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya as Alisson’s back-up option,
according to former England international Darren Bent.
Raya played an ever-present role in The Bees’ promotion push last season, with Mikel Arteta’s
Arsenal rumoured to be tracking the Spaniard during the summer.
However, despite lacking top-flight experience, Bent told an interview with Football Insider, he could be a perfect fit at Anfield.
“For me, I think it is an issue they need to address. But where can you find a back-up
goalkeeper now?” he said.
“We are talking about the Premier League champions so it shouldn’t be hard, but where do
you get a goalkeeper that’s happy to play for six weeks (until Alisson returns) and then go back on the bench?
“It is a concern because they have seen first-hand what happens when you don’t have an
adequate back-up goalkeeper.
“The only one I can think of as a potentially good back-up goalkeeper is David Raya.
“At the highest level, you can’t rely on one goalkeeper.
“The days of Brad Friedel or David James, where you can go so long without getting an injury,
seem to be a thing of the past, you need two very good goalkeepers now.”
