Jurgen Klopp jokes ‘we can BIN our analysis’ after Sheffield United swapped their manager on the eve of Liverpool’s trip to Bramall Lane… as Reds boss confirms Caoimhin Kelleher will continue in goal with Allison out

Jurgen Klopp has joked about Liverpool having to rip up their tactical plans to face Sheffield United because of the late managerial change at Bramall Lane.
Klopp was doing his own pre-match media on Tuesday when it was confirmed the Premier League’s bottom club had sacked Paul Heckingbottom with former boss Chris Wilder returning for a second spell.
The jovial Liverpool boss, fresh from Saturday’s dramatic 4-3 win against Fulham, quipped: ‘First thing, we can probably bin our analysis!
‘We don’t have to think too much about it. We should really just prepare for a football game.
‘I understand a new manager is coming in but we shouldn’t be confused. While I am happy for Chris that he is back in a job at his club, if he thinks about us it must be: ‘Oh my God, they come from everywhere.’

‘I don’t think he can change too much in such a short period and we can play in different ways. We have to focus on ourselves.’
Caoimhin Kelleher will continue in goal with Alisson not ready yet to return from a muscular injury.
The Irishman received criticism for the goals he conceded on Sunday but Klopp says he doesn’t hold him at fault.
‘I really think he played a really good game. In possession he was good, especially with his feet,’ said Klopp.
‘We then conceded two goals. The Harry Wilson one is unlucky for a goalie if the ball goes through legs.
‘For the second one, our goalie coaches and Ali explained to me ‘We are front-footed goalkeepers’.
‘I know that, but in this moment Caoimhin steps into the situation and if Tete tries to control the ball, Caoimhin is there. But he doesn’t, he takes the first touch and then the ball passes him a little bit, so these kinds of things happen.
‘It has nothing to do with quality, it’s a philosophy thing and he could have saved that ball as well with the same movement, just a little bit more luck. Just keep going, do the same things.’
Caoimhin Kelleher played against Fulham on Sunday and will also line up at Bramall Lane
Klopp wants the 25-year-old to have the same positive approach at Bramall Lane when Liverpool are expected to dominate possession.
‘The better we press, the more long balls they will have to play. We need him to be there, offensive, and get off his line.’
Weekend match-winner Trent Alexander-Arnold could continue in a hybrid role of right-back stepping into midfield though England use him purely as a midfielder. ‘We will play him where he is most influential for the team,’ added Klopp.
