Liverpool v Man City: Premier League preview
Jurgen Klopp was unhappy with Geoff Shreeves’ line of questioning ahead of Liverpool’s crunch Premier League clash with Manchester City. Defeat for the Reds could leave them 10 points adrift of Pepp Guardiola’s table-topping side.
Liverpool dominated the Premier League last season and ended a 30-year wait for a top-flight titles.
However, Klopp’s men have struggled this term and have fallen to back-to-back home defeats.
Sky Sports reporter Shreeves asked the Liverpool boss if his side could still challenge for the title.
But Klopp bit back and fumed: “I don’t understand you, honestly.
“The only thing you want to talk about all the time now is us becoming champions.

“Can you imagine… have you ever been the best sports commentator in the world? Do you think it’s still possible? Just try it.
“We try. But if I say it’s possible, or it’s not possible, then we have another headline.
“Why would we do that? Let’s talk about a situation. If we are not interested then I don’t understand why we talk.
“I’m not angry at all, I just don’t understand why the whole interview goes about us becoming champions again.”
Shreeves attempted to explain that Klopp could have said ‘anything is possible’ as an alternative response.
But the German coach was not having that response at all.
“That’s clear. Always, anything is possible,” he added. “Why should I say the absolutely obvious stuff?
“It’s not true. It’s not anything is possible always. But in football, probably yes.”
