Sir Jim Ratcliffe's expected arrival at Manchester United bodes well for Erik ten Hag.
The British billionaire is on the verge of acquiring a 25% stake in his boyhood club with a £1.4billion bid on the table. Minor details are being ironed out between the Glazers and Ratcliffe, who has asked for total control of footballing operations, with the deal expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
It's been a tough start to the season for United, who are down in eighth place after losing four of their first nine Premier League matches. Pressure on Ten Hag is gradually starting to build, but he'll likely be given ample time to turn things around given Ratcliffe's past admiration for the Dutchman.

After his INEOS group bought Ligue 1 side Nice in 2019, Ratcliffe considered offering Ten Hag, who had recently been appointed Ajax boss, the manager's job. An approach was never actually made, but Ratcliffe continued to monitor Ten Hag's progress, according to The Independent.
Ratcliffe is prepared to be patient with the 53-year-old and intends to work closely with him during the upcoming January transfer window. But if things go awry and the axe does indeed swing, it's understood Sir Jim will consider former Chelsea boss Graham Potter as a possible replacement.
