Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen to bring Glen Kamara back to the Emirates Stadium. The Rangers midfielder has improved considerably since leaving the Emirates Stadium, playing a key role in his side’s Scottish Premiership title triumph. So Express Sport will now take a look at how the Gunners could line up if he returns – and if they’re successful in landing Martin Odegaard, Emerson Royal and Sergio Aguero.

Goalkeeper: Leno

Regardless of what happens at Arsenal this summer, Bernd Leno is expected to stay put.

The Germany international has been a shining light amid a difficult campaign and, on his day, is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

Arsenal lost Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa back in the summer transfer window but, while that was a blow, Leno has remained consistent between the sticks.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star wouldn’t have been happy after conceding three goals against Liverpool on Saturday.

And he’ll be hoping for a better defence in front of him in the future.

Defence: Royal, Gabriel, Luiz, Tierney

Arsenal could lose Hector Bellerin this summer.

Numerous reports have suggested the Spain international is eyeing a new challenge – with Barcelona seen as frontrunners to snap him up.

If that happens, it’s been claimed the Gunners are eyeing Real Betis defender Emerson Royal.

Should he arrive, he’d replace Bellerin at right-back.

And Arsenal would likely deploy him in a back four with Gabriel, David Luiz and Kieran Tierney.

Midfield: Partey, Kamara, Odegaard

Kamara played just once for Arsenal during Arsene Wenger’s stint in charge.

But, if he returns, he’d be expected to form a strong partnership with Thomas Partey in the middle of the park.

And, if all goes to plan, Arsenal will turn Odegaard’s loan spell into a permanent transfer.

The Norway international was poor against Liverpool on Saturday but has been impressive since his arrival from Real Madrid back in January.

Signing him won’t be easy, with Chelsea and Liverpool also admirers, yet Arsenal are still seen as the favourites to land Odegaard come the end of the season.

Forwards: Saka, Aguero, Aubameyang

Arsenal could lose Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer this summer, with the France international’s time with the club winding down.

And Aguero could be the perfect replacement.

The Manchester City star is leaving the Etihad Stadium behind and is keen to remain in England, having lived there ever since his move from Atletico Madrid a decade ago.

Should Aguero join, he’d likely play down the middle.

And that would allow Arteta to deploy Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on either flank.
