Harvey Elliott has thanked football fans for the positive messages he has received following his horror injury against Leeds United.
Elliott was stretchered off just past the hour mark when he suffered the freak injury.
Leeds' Dutch defender Pascal Struijk lunged in to try and disposes Elliott, but his leg was caught between Struijk's, causing the sickening injury.
The 18-year-old, however, was quick to provide an update when he posted an Instagram story moments after being stretched off the field.
He said: "Thank you for the messages guys! Road to recovery," he posted with a heart emoji before adding "YNWA."
Elliott has been one of Liverpool's brightest stars so far this season, and the 18-year-old has excited Reds fans with quality performances.
However, he now looks set for a long injury lay-off due to the sickening injury he sustained on Sunday.
Footballers were quick to offer their best wishes to Elliott, and Raheem Sterling tweeted: "Wishing you a speedy recovery Harvey Elliott."
While Jamie Carragher tweeted: "Brilliant result & performance from @LFC but overshadowed unfortunately by the sickening injury to Harvey Elliott, speedy recovery kid."
"Absolutely heartbroken for Harvey Elliott. Has been such a bright spark this season already. Gutted," one Liverpool fan added.

Mohamed Salah was closest Reds player to the 18-year-old, and he was quick to try and attention to the youngster.
Medical personal were quick to attend to Elliott, who was visibly in a lot of pain.
Sky refused to show replays of the challenge, instead showing players averting their eyes to the graphic injury.
Struijk saw red for the challenge.

Liverpool won the clash 3-0, with goals through Salah, Fabinho, and Sadio Mane.
The Reds moved up to third in the table, and Jurgen Klopp's side were denied the top spot by goals scored.
