Brazilian goalkeeper Cassio Ramos has ben hailed as a genius on social media after he deliberately let the ball into his own goal.
Ramos was between the sticks for South American giants Corinthians as they played in a league clash with Atletico Mineiro. And the visitors had an indirect free-kick in the second half, that was whipped goalwards by one of the Mineiro players.
And as the ball made its way to Ramos without touching any other player, he jumped out of the way, letting the ball roll into the net. As a result, Corinthians were awarded a goal kick, and Ramos was hailed as a genius.

And another added: "Just catch the ball? Send your team on a counter rather than showing off you know an irrelevant rule!"
