Former Ajax and Crystal Palace manager Frank de Boer has been sacked by UAE side Al-Jazira after only 14 games.
The Dutchman led the club to just six wins, while also suffering five defeats and three draws which has the 2020-21 UAE Pro League winners lying in seventh place.
The club announced his dismissal in a short statement on Monday that cited ‘recent performances and results’ that includes heavy back-to-back defeats against Ajman and Al Wahda.
‘In light of recent performances and results.’ The club said on X, formerly Twitter. ‘Al Jazira FC board has decided to sack the first team coach, Frank De Boer, with immediate effect.’
It is the fourth brief spell the 53-year-old has had since his success at the helm of former club Ajax between 2010 and 2016.

The 53-year-old had some success in MLS with Atlanta United where he won two trophies
De Boer last only 84 days at Serie A giants Inter Milan after leaving the Eredivisie club and finished with a similar record from 14 outings to the one he achieved at Al-Jazira.
But the worst was yet to come. De Boer experienced the nadir of his managerial career during his time in the Premier League with Crystal Palace a year later. He presided over a miserable run of four defeats in five games, with his only win coming in the League Cup against Championship side Ipswich Town.
His four game league reign was the shortest of the Premier League era and infamously drew derision from Jose Mourinho later than season.
The then-Manchester United boss took issue with De Boer’s criticism of his management of Marcus Rashford.
‘I read something, some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League – Frank de Boer.’ Mourinho replied. ‘If he was coached by Frank he would lose because he lost every game.’
De Boer lasted less than a year with the Netherlands and was dismissed after a disappointing EURO 2020 exit
De Boer enjoyed some success in MLS with Atlanta United, where he won the Campeones Cup and US Open Cup in 2019.
That spell rehabilitated his image enough to earn the Netherlands job that had opened up after Ronald Koeman stepped down to take over at Barcelona.
De Boer led Oranje for under a year before he was fired following Netherlands’ disappointing elimination from EURO 2020.
The Dutch coasted through to the last-16 stage with three wins from their three group games but came unstuck in a 2-0 defeat by the Czech Republic.
