England have handed former Southampton director of performance Mark Jarvis a lead role ahead of their Euro 2024 campaign.
Jarvis has been appointed the FA’s new head of performance – a key position within Gareth Southgate’s England set-up.
The fitness and medical guru started his role in October and will now be at the forefront of preparations for the national team’s forthcoming European Championship campaign in Germany – a tournament England head into as favourites.
Jarvis’s arrival comes as part of a wider shake-up at the national football centre in St George’s Park in recent months.
Head of Performance Bryce Cavanagh – who has been part of England’s previous three tournaments – and performance colleague Ben Rosenblatt left earlier this year.

Steve Kemp, previously head physio, has been appointed to head of physical performance, medicine and nutrition.
Jarvis left St Mary’s earlier this year having first arrived in 2018 as high performance manager.
He has held previous roles with West Bromwich, English Institute of Sport and GB Rowing.
