Crystal Palace vs Sheffield United live stream: How to watch Premier League fixture online and on TV today

The new year’s Premier League fixtures see Crystal Palace host Sheffield United on Saturday, with both sides coming into the clash in dismal form. Palace did manage to pick up a point in their last match, a 1-1 draw with Leicester, but they have dropped to 15th place in the table after a run of five games without a win.

Despite a fairly good start to the campaign, inconsistency and a habit of conceding poor goals has hampered any hopes Palace might have had of challenging to break into the top half of the table. Roy Hodgson has managed to get a more clinical streak out of key forward Wilf Zaha, but they remain very much a one-win-in-three team who are doing enough to stay out of trouble, but not much more.

That said, every Sheffield United fan would swap places with them right now, with the Blades enduring an utterly miserable campaign so far of zero wins from 16 games.

Just two points taken and 14 defeats thus far puts Chris Wilder’s team firmly in contention to be ranked among the worst top-flight teams since the Premier League’s inception. They lost 1-0 to Burnley in a crucial match before the turn of the year, leaving Sheffield United a massive 11 points from safety already.
