Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is willing to use Callum Hudson-Odoi as part exchange in any potential bids for Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland, according to reports. The England international struggled against Southampton on Saturday. And, now, it seems as though a parting of the ways could be on the cards.

Chelsea boss Tuchel is determined to sign Sancho and Haaland when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.

The German recently took over from Frank Lampard and has lifted the Blues, helping them challenge for a place in the Champions League qualifying slots.

Chelsea are now expecting to end up in Europe’s top-tier club competition and Tuchel feels Haaland and Sancho would be vital signings for his side.

Haaland has been in fine form this season, with the Norway international scoring 17 goals from 17 Bundesliga matches.

And Sancho has recovered from a shaky start to the campaign to step up, with the England international now operating at the peak of his powers once more.

The pair won’t be cheap to sign, however, given their importance to Dortmund.

And the Sunday World claim Chelsea boss Tuchel is willing to use Hudson-Odoi as part exchange in any blockbuster deal.

The England international has scored just twice and assisted twice this season, toiling under both Tuchel and Frank Lampard.

And it seems as though Chelsea could be ready to offload the player, who was wanted by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich last summer.

In the end, they opted to sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City instead.

And whether they choose to reignite their interest, especially given Sane’s inconsistency, is something only time will tell.

Meanwhile, speaking after his side’s 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday, Tuchel ripped into Hudson-Odoi over his attitude.

“Clearly yes, we had all the chances and all possibilities to take the win, it would have been deserved, sometimes in football you concede one chance and they score,” he said.

“I am not concerned about Tammy Abraham, it was not about the injury, it was hard for him to show his quality.

“He could not put his stamp in this game so we changed the formation.

“We brought in Callum Hudson-Odoi but I was not happy with his attitude, energy and counter-pressing.

“I took him off and we demand 100 per cent, I feel he is not in the right shape to help us.

“It was a hard decision but tomorrow it is forgotten and he has all possibilities to start against Atletico Madrid.

“It is always a big week so it is mixed feelings at the moment, it will not be easier to score against Atletico.”

Mason Mount scored for Chelsea against Southampton and, after the game, insisted they didn’t create enough chances to win.

“We had a lot of control in the first half,” he said.

“We spoke at half-time. We didn’t create enough in the final third. It was poor.

“They had one chance and scored, they caught us off guard.”
