Kim Min-jae has been good to Munich since moving to Germany this past summer – but the city hasn't been so kind in return.

That's after the South Korea international was reportedly the victim of a robbery within days of his arrival at Bayern. And the crooks were cheeky enough to pull off the pilfering while he was moving into his new abode.

According to Bild, an opportunistic thief made off with Kim's rice cooker after he left the item outside to bring in another box. The kitchen appliance was reportedly a present from the centre-back's advisor, Dee Hong, and may not have even been used yet.

Not that Kim has allowed the criminal(s) to distract him from making a fine beginning to life in Bavaria. The 27-year-old has replaced Netherlands star Matthijs de Ligt in Bayern's starting line-up and been a constant for the German juggernaut so far this season.

Die Roten recruited Kim from Napoli after reportedly triggering his £50million release clause, making him the most expensive Asian footballer of all time in the process. And he's looked worth every penny, with Bayern boasting the best defensive record in the Bundesliga.

The club have also qualified for the Champions League knockout stages with two games to spare – though they're yet to keep a clean sheet in Europe so far this term. Much of that has been thanks to the exploits of another new arrival, Harry Kane, who has four Champions League goals and sits one off the competition's top scorers.

Thankfully for Kim, it was reported Hong didn't delay in replacing his player's stolen rice cooker with a new one from his native South Korea.
