Arsenal: Ozil's numbers as star nears Fenerbahce move
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is willing to let up to eight players out of a list of 11 leave the club, according to reports. Arteta wants to raise funds to bring in the players he thinks can make the necessary improvements to his squad.
Arsenal have already begun the process of trimming down their squad this month.
Left-back Sead Kolasinac has rejoined Bundesliga club Schalke on loan for the remainder of the season.
There is no obligation to buy though and the Bosnian is currently set to return to the Gunners in the summer, with his contract expiring in 2022.
Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil looks to be edging closer to an exit, with Turkish club Fenerbahce and MLS side DC United both interested in the German.

Ozil and Kolasinac are two of a host of players Arteta is keen on letting go.
The Independent have named 11 players Arteta is open to letting leave the club.
The report says the Spaniard wants to move on up to eight of those 11.
Centre-backs Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi, who are both out of contract at the end of the season, are two more on the list.

Serie A club Genoa have been linked with both players, with Sokratis also attracting interest from Fenerbahce and Mustafi from Lazio.
Another defender, Calum Chambers, also sees his future at Arsenal in doubt.
The 25-year-old has failed to make a Premier League appearance this season since recovering from his anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.
Mohamed Elneny is another player who is seen as dispensable, despite starting five of the last six Premier League matches.
Youngsters Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock and Folarin Balogun are also named as players Arteta could let go.
Nelson and Willock have been reported as potential makeweights in Arsenal’s pursuit of Norwich City star Emiliano Buendia.
Balogun, meanwhile, is out of contract at the end of the season.
Arsenal would also consider exits for Lucas Torreira and Konstantinos Mavropanos, who are currently on loan at Atletico Madrid and Stuttgart respectively.
Speaking last week, Arteta insisted his main aim in this transfer window was to trim his squad.
“We have a large squad and we knew that. A lot of things that should have happened in the summer, we cannot accomplish for different reasons,” he said.
“There are some players that are going to go on loan and going to leave and that is the priority at the moment.
“We cannot sustain the numbers that we have in certain positions and we are looking to do that, and then we will see if we have the right opportunity in the positions where we need some more help.”
