Special teams again continues to be an underrated unit for the Indianapolis Colts. Linebacker E.J. Speed came through the left side of the line basically untouched and sprawled out to block Tennessee Titans punter Trevor Daniel’s punt with two hands late in the third quarter.

Cornerback T.J. Carrie was able to easily scoop up the bouncing ball at the Titans’ 7-yard line and go into the end zone to give the Colts a 27-17 lead in the third quarter.

The blocked punt returned for a touchdown was the fifth touchdown by the defense or special teams this season. The touchdown moved the Colts ahead of Baltimore for first in the NFL in that category.
