Jets QB Sam Darnold out for Week 10 action due to significant sprain, report says

Sam Darnold was hoping for a chance to play better after stringing together a quarterback rating of 14.2 in the Jets’ 13-6 loss to the Dolphins in Week 9.

Darnold was seen in a walking boot at practice Wednesday and watched his teammates in street clothes.

Sources later told the News that Darnold is suffering from a significant sprain, and won’t play against the Bills on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
