Sam Darnold was hoping for a chance to play better after stringing together a quarterback rating of 14.2 in the Jets’ 13-6 loss to the Dolphins in Week 9.
But, according to a report from NY Daily News, that will likely not happen.
Darnold was seen in a walking boot at practice Wednesday and watched his teammates in street clothes.
Sources later told the News that Darnold is suffering from a significant sprain, and won’t play against the Bills on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
