The pair went face-to-face at UFC 284 earlier this year in what was a close contest. Makhachev triumphed on the scorecards, with the challenger desperate to become a two-division champion.
Makhachev was due to fight Charles Oliveira, but the Brazilian was forced to pull out of the main event due to a cut he suffered in a sparring.
Tonight’s co-main event will see another sensational fight take place. Kamaru Usman has stepped in on 10 days notice and will take on undefeated star Khamzat Chimaev. ‘Borz’ was due to face top middleweight contender Paulo Costa, but the Brazilian pulled out with a nasty elbow infection.

The prelims will get underway at 3pm GMT while those in America will be able to catch them at 10am ET/7am PT. Tonight’s prelims will get underway at 12am (Sunday) EST or 11:30pm ACST for those watching in Australia.
The main card is scheduled to get underway at 7pm GMT for those in the UK and at 2pm ET/11am PT for those watching in the US. Tonight’s main card will get underway at 4am (Sunday) EST or 3:30am (Sunday) ACST in Australia.
