Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Thursday’s card at Sale.
BOBSLED (Race 4 No. 2 – $3.60)
Bobsled has been most competitive over 1400m at his last two runs but the 1717m looks perfect for him at Sale. He’ll roll forward and should be hard to run down.
FIVE BULLS (Race 3 No. 4 – $6)
The Nick Ryan-trained Five Bulls worked to lead before fading at Cranbourne last time. He’s back to 1200m and the blinkers come off so he’ll travel better. Expect him to bounce back.
PEEJAY’S OFF (Race 5 No. 9 – $4)
Peejay’s Off was scratched from a race at Sandown on Wednesday for this, which is usually a good lead for punters. He gave a start and hit the line well at Pakenham but has the services of Damien Oliver at Sale.
SHEZAWITNESS (Race 7 No. 10 – $6)
Shezawitness was no match for the impressive winner La Vina but she made a promising return to racing at Warrnambool. She’ll only be improved for that and getting back to mares’ grade will suit.

Royal Marine has led and faded in longer races at his last three runs but the drop back to 1200m could suit the four-year-old at Sale. He also drops back a level in class and can end the day on a high for his backers.
Damien Oliver will make the trek to Sale on Thursday for five rides and the champion jockey should always be respected when he heads to the provincials.
FLYING ARTIST (Race 1 No. 13 – $7.50), TRANSFORMATION (Race 2 No. 10 – $5), PEEJAY’S OFF (Race 5 No. 9 – $4), FALLS (Race 6 No. 3 – $3.90), SCIENTIFIC (Race 8 No. 5 – $3).
