Team GB golfer Paul Casey will resume his Olympic medal charge in the early hours of Friday morning as he tees off for round two of the event at 2.25am BST.

The 44-year-old currently sits four shots behind leader Sepp Straka after Casey carded an impressive four-under, 67 in Thursday’s opening round.

The former world number one will once again be joined by his day one playing partners in the shape of Team USA member Justin Thomas and Joaquin Nienmann of Chile.

Casey’s Team GB teammate Tommy Fleetwood will get his second round underway just under two hours before his compatriot, teeing up at 12:41am alongside Patrick Reed of the USA, and Ireland’s Tommy Fleetwood.
