Tyron Woodley "was not allowed" to knock out Jake Paul in boxing fight

Jake Paul's long-time rival Dillon Danis has claimed the YouTube star stipulated in his contract for his fight with Tyron Woodley that he could not be knocked out.

Danis, who at one point was being touted as Paul's next opponent, has made the outrageous allegation that Paul and Woodley's fight, which was sanctioned as a professional bout and goes on both of their records, was favourably swayed towards Paul.

And he believes that a moment in the fourth round, when Paul was rocked by Woodley and held up by the ropes, proves his theory, saying that Woodley would have gone for the finish had he been allowed by his contract.

“Tyron Woodley, from what I heard, had it in the contract that he was not allowed to knock out Jake Paul," Danis said on The MMA Hour last night.

"I swear on anything, when he was against the ropes, I swear, that’s why when Jake Paul was against the ropes, Tyron Woodley didn’t hit him.

"I’m telling you right now. It was in his contract where it said you’re not allowed to knock him out.”

Danis is a notorious Twitter troll, and has been known for his outlandish statements in the past, including calling out UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, despite being a 2-0 welterweight.

And his interview with The MMA Hour was no different, with the American claiming that he was offered steroids by a former UFC title contender during a training session, and calling former middleweight champion Michael Bisping "a journeyman".

He even took a shot at Paul's future opponent Tommy Fury, who looks set to face the YouTube star later this year.

Danis claimed that his previous opponent, former Bellator fighter and Paul's sparring partner Anthony Taylor, held a record of 5-20 in MMA, which is actually 7-5.

And he said that his comeback fight will come against either former The Ultimate Fighter champion Diego Sanchez or PFL star Jake Shields.

He also called out number one ranked Bellator welterweight Michael 'Venom' Page, who just defeated Douglas Lima to set up a world title shot.

“When I come back, my comeback fight is either gonna be Jake Shields or Diego Sanchez. That’s who I wanna fight when I come back,” Danis said

“I can send you the messages that Diego says, that motherf****r is crazy. So if he wants to get it, I told him too, I was like, ‘Bro I’m gonna hurt you so bad.’

"He’s like crazy, like bro you don’t know what I’m going to do to you.

“Jake Shields can get it too. John Wayne Parr. I don’t care who it is. I’m going to come back and gonna fight one of them.

"Even Michael ‘Venom’ Page, I’ll fight him. He’s so bad, he’s terrible.”

Danis is currently recovering from a second knee surgery, and expects to return in the early part of next year.
