KSI told conditions for Jake Paul fight to happen in ‘ultimate YouTube clash’

KSI needs to have “two or three” tune-up bouts before taking on bitter YouTube rival Jake Paul, says his trainer Viddal Riley.

KSI, real name Olajide William Olatunji, came out on top in his only professional contest to date against Paul’s brother Logan back in November 2019.

Riley was in the British YouTube sensation’s corner for that fight, as well as his previous amateur bouts against Logan and compatriot Joe Weller.

Following his debut win, KSI has been tipped to lock horns with the other Paul brother, Jake, who has impressed in his two professional outings.

The American first wiped out fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib in January of last year, before claiming a brutal knockout victory over ex-NBA star Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition with Roy Jones Jr back in October.

A showdown between Jake and KSI is therefore being mooted for 2021, but Riley insists his man first needs to have two or three tune-up bouts after being out of the ring for over a year.

The 23-year-old trainer, who is 4-0 in his own promising career as a cruiserweight, said on his YouTube channel: “The first rule of battle is to never underestimate your opponent. I won't underestimate Jake by any means.

“So, why would I send JJ, or advise JJ, to go straight into a fight with Jake when this guy's sparring all the time, he's fighting often.
