Kell Brook 'had' the potential to become an all-time British boxing great.
And the former IBF world champ still talks a good fight.
Listen to his analysis of Saturday night's showdown with the undefeated Terence Crawford in Nevada.
"I've seen things I'm going to expose him on.
Big fight tips
Taylor, Harper & Ball all to win on pts – 5/2
Crawford by stoppage – 2/5
"I've never, ever watched tapes of my opponents but Carlos (Formento) has sat me down and showed me. When I've been watching him there are certain shots I need to chuck and I can picture myself catching him with that shot in the fight and hurting him bad and stiffening his legs up.
"He's been hurt before and, believe you me, I can punch like you can't believe at this weight."
The 'he' is WBO welterweight champion and potential all-time boxing great Terence Crawford.
Brook upset the odds in 2014 when he went to USA and decisioned Shawn Porter – and he will have to do the same again if he intends to make good on his pre-fight vow.
Crawford is 1/12 with thepools.com to beat Brook, 2/5 to win inside the distance .
Brook is 9/1 to win the fight , 12/1 on points and 15/1 to do so by a stoppage .
The odds are justified.
Crawford has never been beaten in 36 outings, for the last six years operating at the very highest level.
Whenever Kell has stepped up into elite territory, he has lost.
Bravely and nobly – when stepping up to middleweight for a suicide mission against Gennady Golovkin and then at Bramall Lane against Errol Spence Jnr – but nevertheless beaten
Significantly the latter of those two bouts was in May 2017. In the three-and-a-half years since Kell has boxed just three more times. A sum total of 21 rounds of action.

Crawford has fought six times in that timescale, has won every one inside the distance, and while he's only a year younger than Brook, BoxRec and ESPN both rate him as the second best active boxer in the world – at any weight – The Ring have him fourth.
It's an obvious outcome – but Crawford inside the distance is the call.
Brook should get further than Amir Khan's six rounds – and the fight to end in rounds 10-12 is 10/3 .
Katie Taylor v Miriam Gutierrez
Gutierrez is impressive, unbeaten and capable of giving any fighter a tough night. But Katie Taylor is Katie Taylor – an icon of women's boxing and deserving of the 1/20 odds on another victory. But she's 7/10 to have her hand raised aloft after 10 rounds and that's a good price.
Terri Harper v Katharina Thanders
We were one of the few pundits to tip Natasha Jonas in the humdinger with Harper back in August – and remain convinced the Scouser was hard done by in the draw.
But Harper wil have learned plenty from that 10-rounder. There's no way she should be short as 2/9 to inflict a first ever defeat on the Norwegian, and even Harper on points is too skinny at 2/5 – but that's where we're, tentatively, going.
Rachel Ball v Jorgelina Guanini
The late Argentinian stand-in is a former world champion – at super-fly – and is giving away seven inches in height to the British challenger. As a result Ball can use her range to box her way to a points win. Ball is 2/5 with thepools.com to win.
