Eddie Hearn blasts "idiot" Deontay Wilder after demand to make Joshua fight

Eddie Hearn has blasted Deontay Wilder as an "idiot" after his latest demand to fight Anthony Joshua to become the undisputed world heavyweight champion.

The WBC world champion is set to fight Tyson Fury on December 1 but negotiations in public continue for another super fight against unified world champion Joshua.

The Bronze Bomber claims he could even demand a 60-40 split should he beat Fury, which has irritated Hearn after failing to find any progress following lengthy negotiations.

"I’m sick and tired of idiots out there who think he wants the fight. Just listen to what he’s saying," Hearn told IFLTV.

"Boring, boring, boring. Mate, f*** off, you ain’t earned $3 million. You could walk up any city, any high street, any town in the world, ask anyone who Deontay Wilder is, nobody has got a f****** clue.

"He wants 60-40? Idiot. Don’t waste our time. Don’t use Joshua’s name to gain profile and publicity.

"If that’s what he really thinks, please don’t waste my time, I’m really f****** busy, no time for time-wasters."

"It’s so, so draining. All we do is chase, make approaches, make offers, try and have negotiations."

Wilder is aiming to take Fury’s ‘0’ on December 1 in Los Angeles and is already looking beyond the fight with regards to Joshua.

“After this Fury fight, for me in my mind, f*** 50/50 it’s 60/40 [in my favor], but to make this fight happen for the fans, I’m willing to do 50/50," Wilder told Thaboxingvoice.

"It ain’t gonna go no lower than that.”

Hearn was speaking at his latest American show in Boston, with Demtrius Andrade capturing the WBO world middleweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Walter Kautondokwa.

‘Boo Boo’ now has a host of options with Hearn and DAZN, with Danny Jacobs, who challenges Sergiy Derevyanchenko for the IBF world middleweight title next week, and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez also signed to the network.
