Andy Ruiz Jr has launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Tyson Fury after the British heavyweight attempted to represent Mexico during his Las Vegas public workout on Tuesday.
Fury meets the relatively unknown Otto Wallin in a non-title bout on Saturday and a victory is expected to see him finalise an eagerly-awaited rematch with Deontay Wilder .
The Brit turned up for his public workout on the casino floor of the MGM Grand dressed in a Mexican wrestler's mask and plans a Mexican-themed ring walk as the country celebrates its independence day anniversary this weekend.
However Ruiz, who became Mexico's first ever world heavyweight champion when he stunned Anthony Joshua in June, has been angered by Fury's actions.
And the proud Mexican is eyeing a mouthwatering showdown with Fury should he overcome Joshua when the pair step inside the Saudi Arabia ring for their rematch in December.
Responding to fans on an Instagram live story, Ruiz Jr said: "Tyson Fury's next. Tyson Fury's talking s***, he's representing Mexico – he's not even Mexican, what kind of s*** is that?
"A British f******, he ain't even Mexican, wearing the f****** Mexican flag, messed up man.
"Stay in your lane, represent your country, Tyson Fury represent your country, represent what you represent.
"He just needs to stay in his lane – represent where he's from, shouldn't be representing another country that he's not even a little close of."
Fury, meanwhile, insists he is not thinking about his potential rematch with Wilder as he gears up for his next fight in Las Vegas.
The Manchester fighter is concentrating on getting this one out of the way rather than speculating about another meeting with the WBC world champion after their controversial draw last December.
