Major Ronda Rousey return update: When could the UFC legend return to WWE?

Rousey hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since last April when she lost the RAW Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch in a Winner Takes All Triple Threat Match that also included Charlotte Flair.

The UFC Hall of Famer broke her hand during the historic bout but was planning to take some time off regardless in order to focus on having a family with her husband Travis Browne.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet even hinted at retirement as she claimed that she may decide to concentrate all of her energy and life on her child.

But an anonymous source told Sportskeeda recently that the UFC legend will come back for SmackDown’s first episode on Fox, which takes place on October 4.

She wants to work with Heyman now

However, the same source claims that her comeback could take place a lot sooner on RAW instead and that is because of Paul Heyman’s promotion as the red brand’s Executive Director.

Heyman has worked closely with Rousey ever since her WWE debut last year and she thinks very highly of The Advocate.

It was also claimed that the ex-RAW Women’s Champion wants to link up with the ECW legend again as soon as possible.

The Rowdy One’s return to the flagship show would make a lot of sense as she still has unfinished business with RAW Women’s Champion Lynch and RAW’s women’s division is currently lacking some star power, especially after Sasha Banks took time off.

The anonymous source claimed: “A lot has changed with Raw since WrestleMania.

“Banks is MIA so Becky’s leading there but Heyman coming back is a big deal.

“He likes working with Rousey and she likes working with him.

“If she does come back to Raw, it might not take until October either.

“She wants to work with Heyman now.

“She wanted to the whole time.”
