Scottish Open snooker: O'Sullivan's 127 clearance<\/h3>\n

The Scottish Open final gets underway on Sunday after six days of exhilarating snooker action. There is plenty of money up for grabs this year with the winner set to bag close to six figures this evening while a healthy prize pot will be divided among the 64 players.<\/p>\n

Last year, Gary Wilson\u00a0won the last six frames of the final to clinch a 9\u20132 victory over fellow countryman Joe O’Connor to capture the first-ranking title of his career.\u00a0Judd Trump\u00a0compiled the highest break of the tournament, the eighth\u00a0maximum break\u00a0of his career, but couldn’t get beyond the quarter-finals as he was dumped out by Thailand’s\u00a0Thepchaiya Un-Nooh.<\/p>\n

Plenty of big names turned out this year to try and topple Wilson from his perch and now the final is upon us. Here, Express Sport gives you everything you need to know ahead of the last game of the Edinburgh major.<\/p>\n

What is the total prize pot?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is \u00a3427,000 of prize money up for grabs in Edinburgh – the same as last year when it increased by \u00a322,000 from \u00a3405,000.\u00a0The winner of the tournament will receive the Stephen Hendry trophy and \u00a380,000 while the runner-up will receive a \u00a335,000 share.<\/p>\n

Semi-finalists bag \u00a317,5000 followed by quarter-finalists with \u00a311,000. Those who reach the last 16 will earn \u00a37,500, the last 32 \u00a34,500 and the last 64 \u00a33,000. Meanwhile, the player who achieves the highest break will secure an additional \u00a35,000 for their efforts.<\/p>\n
