The MotoGP heavyweight got caught out by damp conditions and was unable to save the bike.
During Friday’s session there were eight separate crashes in FP2.
British ace Cal Crutchlow came off his RC213V at turn six and blamed a lack of front end feel.
Marquez also came close to crashing yesterday but managed to avoid toppling off.

The five-time world champion couldn’t manage the same feat at the Circuit of The Americas though.
He spectacularly crashed out midway through the race despite being way ahead of his rivals.
In the aftermath, it transpired that a mixture of driver error and technical issues and caused the incident.

Marquez was snapped enjoying some Bundesliga action and the F1 after his victory in Spain two weeks ago.
He said: “We had a very strong weekend in Jerez and a productive test but this is MotoGP and we must always keep working.
“Between races I was able to relax a little bit at the F1 and also the Leipzig versus Bayern game, riding my bike in the stadium was great and the noise was incredible.
“Le Mans can be a tricky GP, especially with the weather so we must be prepared for any conditions.
“Last year I was able to win here but we always face a lot of opposition.”
