J.T. Realmuto is looking to stay in Philly.
Speaking Tuesday after the MLB All-Star Game in Cleveland, the Phillies catcher expressed his desire to sign a contract extension with the team after being traded to Philadelphia from the Marlins in February.
“I’m definitely not opposed,” Realmuto said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “Everything I’ve experienced in Philadelphia has been awesome, so I wouldn’t be opposed to spending the rest of my career there.”
While an extension could likely be prioritized this offseason, Realmuto, the team’s lone representative at Tuesday’s All-Star Game, doesn’t have a deadline.
